Adding a New Client
- Select "Clients" from the Navigation Tree and click “New Client” on the pane 2 toolbar; the "Client Add/Copy" screen appears:
- Client Add Type: Select either “New” or “Copy” from the drop-down box.
- Source Client: If “Copy” was selected above as the "Client Add Type," select the Client to copy from the drop-down box. If “New” was selected, this field is disabled.
- Default Administrator: From the drop-down box, select the Organization Administrator that will be the initial Client Administrator for the new Client. Additional Client Administrators may be assigned as part of the Client administration process. The default selection for this field is the Organization Administrator who creates the new Client.
- Client Name: Enter a name for the new Client (if the "Client Add Type" above is "Copy," the Client Name field defaults to the copied Source Client name. Overwrite this name with a unique name for the new Client).
- Click “Save” to create the Client; a new row appears in pane 2 reflecting the new Client.
Deleting an Existing Client
- In pane 2, highlight the Client to be deleted (click anywhere on the row with the exception of the Client Name hyperlink) and click “Delete Client.” The following message appears: "Delete selected Client?"
- To proceed with the deletion, click “OK.” If not, click “Cancel.” When “OK” is clicked, the Client and all records belonging to such Client within the hierarchy (i.e., Projects, Buildings, Leases, etc.) are deleted.
Note: The Organization Administrator deleting the Client must also be a Client Administrator for the selected Client. If they are not, the Client record is grayed out and unavailable for selection.
Editing a Client
The three Client fields editable from the Organization Administration screen are:
- Client Name: This text field contains the designation decided upon for the grouping of Projects.
- Billing Status: Active or Inactive
- Billing Type: Annually, Monthly, Other, Quarterly
Note: The Active Buildings and Active Leased Area fields are generated by the system and are read-only.
