Carousel states are Input Type selections throughout the application that are used when there are multiple methods to input data. The use of carousel states facilitates data entry by minimizing the number of columns through which a user must scroll. The availability of carousel states is denoted by data entry fields that are preceded by the double arrow . Click the "Enter" key to display the carousel pop-up window.
Each available carousel state is displayed as a tab in the pop-up window. The carousel state that is in-use is underlined and has a blue dot on the tab. In the example below, the in-use state is "Basic".
A user may view and change the carousel state by either:
- using Ctrl + Shift + Left/Right arrow to navigate to the previous or next state
- clicking on the desired state tab with the mouse
Different carousel states may be viewed without losing data for the in-use state. However, when data is entered in another carousel state, that state becomes the active/in-use state and data in the prior state is deleted. To clear a state and return the value to "None", click the icon (the "clear" functionality is only available within certain carousel states).
Note: The specific carousel states available within the various sections of the application are defined throughout this Knowledge Base where data input instructions for such sections are provided.
To change the location of where the pop-up window appears on your screen, drag and drop the window to the desired location and press the pin button .
To view the contents of a carousel pop-up window without actually opening the window, use the mouse to hover over the data input field. Upon doing so, the data entered within the carousel will be displayed.
