Charge Codes are income categories that map certain charges (i.e. items that are billable to clients that generate revenue or are an outflow of capital) that are mapped back to the Chart of Accounts for reporting purposes.
Select Client Chart: Select the Chart of Accounts from the menu.
Code - Unique identifier/abbreviated Description
Description
Account - Book to account. Calculated data will be booked to this account and appear on the respective budgeting tab(s)
Sub Account - Applicable when COA Include SubAccount = Yes
Status
- Active (default) - In use/available
- Inactive - Not available/usable
Type - Where it is used (Rent Roll Tab, Market Leases, & Template Leases); applicable in the Charge Code column:

- Capital - Other Capital(#)
- Capital - Tenant Commission Capital(#)
- Capital - Tenant Inducement Capital(#)
- CPI - Porter's Wage Charges(#)
- LC Amort.
- Miscellaneous Charges(#)

Import (Excel)
- Click the "Import" button on the toolbar; the "Import New Charge Codes" window appears.
- Click "Download Input File."
- Click "Input file is ready. Click here to download it."
- Open file or save locally and then add data. In the import file, the Status and Type columns contain drop-down lists of selections.
- Click the "Choose File" button and then select the import file.
- Click "Upload and Import."
- The Status section of the window will display the results in red font and the user that imported will receive a status email.
