Client Admin Roles & Permissions are security rights for each tree-node/sub-node/tab/button on any given screen that can be assigned to Users; they define the features accessible to a User.
Pane 1
Role - Name/title
Description - Role explanation
Type options:
- Client - Client level permissions
- Budget - Budget and Building level permissions
Category
- Full Access - Access to all aspects of the application assigned
- Reports Only - Access to only the Reports section
Pane 2
- Select and highlight the Role in pane 1.
- In pane 2 Tree Permissions, select a row and click "Edit" on the toolbar or right-click select from the menu; the View, Add, Edit, and Delete fields open.
- Check or uncheck the appropriate boxes within the fields and click "Save" on the pane 2 toolbar or right-click select from the menu.
- Continue in panes 3 and 4.
Info: The Roles & Permissions' Tree Permissions are a parent-child relationship; i.e., if "All" is selected in a higher pane, all sub-panes are applied the same permission unless manually edited.
Note: Although View, Add, Edit, and Delete all appear in each section, not all Nodes and SubNodes are affected by each (i.e., Import/Export - Administration (and other sections) contains permissions to button-triggered functionality in the application). "View" gives a Role permission to see and use the functionality. Add, Edit, and Delete rights have no affect on button functionality other than the obvious Add, Edit, and Delete buttons.
Delete
Alert: A Role that is in use (i.e., assigned to users) cannot be deleted.
Roles Export
Located on the pane 1 toolbar, Roles Export is an Excel export containing the details of selected Client Admin or Budget Admin Roles & Permissions.
