Named Inflation rates are used to inflate miscellaneous income and expense items in multi-year budgets.Changes at the source to any named Inflation will flow through to all accounts using that rate.
Inflation(s) are expedites for:
- Budgeting Tabs
- Budget Admin: General (Default Inflation:)
- Other Market Items
- Argus Export
Pane 1
Name - Unique title
Term - Client level only. Value in years
StartDate - Client level only
Status
- Active - Available wherever applicable.
- Inactive - Disables applicability throughout the application; removes it from drop-down lists.
Input
- Simple - All detail is contained in the pane 1 row.
- Detailed- Multi-year budget pane 2 detail
Amount - Budget & building levels or Percent (%) (Client level) - Percentage value.
Portfolio - The buildings that can use it.
- All Portfolios - Available to all buildings in the budget.
- Client Admin Portfolios - Filters the availability of the named item to only the buildings included in the assigned Portfolio.

Pane 2
If Input = Detailed, pane 2 appears containing yearly fields based on the length of the budget term:
- Click "Edit" on the pane 2 toolbar; the Year # fields open.
- Percentage amounts can be manually entered in the Year # fields and extended using the "Extend to End" button located on the pane 2 toolbar or right-click and select "Extend to End" or "Extend to Year."
- After entering percentage amounts and click "Save" or right-click select from the menu.
Edit
Alert: Careful attention is required when editing named items as the changes will affect all using the named item(s). Edits to named items (Financial Components and Market Items with the exception of Template Leases) flow through to other Financial Components and Market Items and update all tenants that are assigned these named items on the Rent Roll tab.
Delete
Note: In use named items (Market Items and Financial Components) cannot be deleted. In order to delete a named item, it must not be assigned to any other named items, budgeting tabs, and/or tenants on the Rent Roll atb.
