Named Rates are defined rates that can be scoped to individual accounts for easy input and maintenance on the Budgeting Tabs (Input Mode = Named Rates > Value/Selection > [Select...] > Named Rate:). They are dollar per square foot rates that can be shared across assets, often used for budgeting consumable items. Named Rates can be defined at all levels and scoped by account and Portfolio.
Pane 1
Name - Unique title
Account - Which account(s) can use it. Assigning an account makes the item available only for the that account in the corresponding budgeting tab.
Sub Account - Applicable if "Include SubAccount" = Yes in the Chart of Accounts.
Status
- Active - Available wherever applicable
- Inactive - Disables applicability throughout the application, e.g. removes it from drop-down lists.
Input Type
- Simple - A single value. All detail is contained in pane 1.
- Detailed - Used for varying amounts by month. Detail is entered in pane 2.
Amount - Value that relates to selected Amount Type.
Amount Type - $/SF/Month (only option when Input Type = Detailed), $/SF/Year

Portfolio - The buildings that can use it.
- All Portfolios - Available to all buildings in the budget.
- Client Admin Portfolios - Filters the availability of the named item to only the buildings included in the assigned Portfolio.

Pane 2 when Input Type = Detailed
- Click "Add" on the pane 2 toolbar; the fields of Year and Months open. The pane 2 toolbar contains the Extend to Year & Extend to End buttons to aid in entering amounts, in addition to right-click - Extend to Year/Extend to End.
- Enter the applicable data and click "Save" on the pane 2 toolbar.
Tip: Repeatedly clicking the Add button on the pane 2 toolbar adds more rows pertaining to years.
Edit
Alert: Careful attention is required when editing named items as the changes will affect all using the named item(s). Edits to named items (Financial Components and Market Items with the exception of Template Leases) flow through to other Financial Components and Market Items and update all tenants that are assigned these named items in the Rent Roll.
Delete
Note: In use named items (Market Items and Financial Components) cannot be deleted. In order to delete a named item, it must not be assigned to any other named items, budgeting tabs, and/or tenants in the Rent Roll.
